When it comes to where you work, we know you’ve got choices…here’s what we provide:

  • Pay Rate: $29.00 per hour
  • Position Status: Full-time, 40 hours per week
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm

Responsibilities

Here’s what to expect as a Program Specialist:

  • Evaluate referrals to determine appropriateness of placement and work collaboratively with the Residential Manager and the Residential Director to assess the ability to support individuals referred to residential services.
  • Develop annual Personal Support Plans that meet the specific needs and desires of each individual supported in collaboration with all team members. 
  • Monitor the implementation and the effectiveness of Personal Support Plans/Individuals support plans. 
  • Provide the assistance, training, and support necessary to assist the individual to develop and increase personal competencies and become socially integrated into their communities.
  • Conduct weekly audits of files of residents on caseload. 
  • Communicate results of audits to Residential Manager, Residential Supervisor, and the Residential Services Director.
  • Develop and implement new policies and/or procedures within the functional area to support the continuous improvement of operational effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Complete all assessments and quarterly reports within the required timeframes. 
  • Ensure compliance with applicable licensing regulations.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements as a Program Specialist:

  • Associate's or 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university required, and 4 years of prior work experience working directly with persons with disabilities. 
  • OR Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required, and 2 years of prior work experience working directly with persons with disabilities.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Access to vehicle with valid insurance, registration, and inspection.
  • Ability to communicate, read, write, and interpret English.
  • Flexible to work all assigned work schedules including holidays, evenings, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate.

Preferred, but not required:

  • Knowledge of applicable compliance regulations (i.e., Chapter 51, 6400).
  • Developmental Planning and Goal Setting experience.
  • Multi-Site Management experience.
  • Knowledge of disability services funded through Medicaid and through PA’s Department of Health and Human Services.
