What you’ll do:
Lead the development and implementation of a fully integrated vision and strategic HR Plan for all people systems, programs, and services.
Lead, implement, and sustain a high-performing culture of perpetual compliance and accountability. Execute a strategy to develop systems that both facilitate and enforce internal and external controls by aligning communication, people, and processes.
Identify and implement strategic opportunities that originate from the UCP Strategic Plan and arise from conversations with the CEO and COO.
Serving the priority needs and interests of the Executive Team; collaborate routinely and responsively with the Executive Team members on all aspects of operational performance, strategic objectives, and process improvements to deliver programs of distinction that align with the organizational mission, vision and strategic plan.
Continuously demonstrate sound professional judgement by keeping Executive Team members informed of operational successes, challenges, and threats. Immediately inform the Executive Team of developing situations that could escalate; potentially posing a risk to UCP’s participants, services, or reputation.
Lead the HR Department staff members to productively collaborate across UCP divisions, with particular attention to a thorough understanding of the highly regulated environment in which UCP operates.
Ensure that best-practice recruitment and selection systems are applied to hire employees who are fully capable and committed to the UCP mission. Ensure the selection of managers who radiate a commitment to build and maintain positive connections with others resulting in trust and mutual understanding.
Lead the implementation of a competency-based Employee Engagement Program, Employee Relations Program, Learning and Development curriculum, and Performance Management Program.
Lead and ensure compliance with all related federal, state, and local Human Resources related laws.
What we’re looking for:
At a minimum, you’ll need –
Bachelor’s Degree in HR or a related field; HR degree preferred.
SHRM HRCI SPHR or PHR -or- SHRM SCP or CP.
8 years of experience in HR; including 5 years of experience leading an HR Department.
Word, Excel, PowerPoint (intermediate level).
Possess a valid Social Security number.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Ability to read and interpret documents in English. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.
It’d be great if you also have –
Master’s Degree in HR.
HR experience within a non-profit organization.
World at Work CBP or CCP.
