    The Workforce Coordinator (Recruiting Specialist), Adult Services supports the centralization of the hiring process for the Adult Day Services, Residential Services, Employment Services, and In-Home and Community Support divisions.

     

     

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement a comprehensive and targeted recruitment plan in conjunction with the HR department to achieve required staffing levels in a consistent and predictable manner. 
    • Identify and attend job fairs in cooperation and collaboration with the HR department.  
    • Facilitate relationships with career and technical schools, as well as institutes of higher education in collaboration with the HR department.
    • Identify and utilize creative, traditional, and low-cost mediums for job postings in conjunction with the HR department.
    • Schedule and conduct both telephone interviews (ie. initial screening interviews) and in-person interviews.
    • Provide position candidates with helpful and compelling information that will generate interest in working at UCP (ie. benefits information, core principles, staff member testimonials, etc.).
    • Facilitate "Meet and Greet" opportunities in partnership with the site supervisors.
    • Manage candidate "work flow" activity in the applicable Applicant Tracking System; so that an archive of candidate flow can be attained.
    • Ensure that applicant information (ie. Employment Application, resume, cover letter) is retained and managed in accordance with all standard operating procedures.

     

     

     

     

    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Certificate required. 
    • Associate’s Degree or technical certification within a related area preferred. 
    • 6 months to 2 years of previous job-related experience. Prior recruiting experience preferred.
    • Knowledge specific to the needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and autism.
